Australian authorities have called off the operation for a young boy who has been lost in the remote area for almost twenty-one days, after fresh efforts were unable to find any traces of the youngster.

Gus Lamont was observed engaging near his residence on a remote farmland close to Yunta, about 300km from Adelaide, on late September.

His grandmother stepped away for about half an hour before checking on him, only to discover the boy gone, initiating one of the largest ground and aerial operations in local history.

Current Situation

Law enforcement - who do not think there was criminal activity - say they will persist looking into, but that the matter has become a "recovery mission".

Last week, police temporarily reduced the operation, only to recommence it on recently alongside eighty Australian Defense Force members.

"Official Grant Stevens said police were scanning a broader area based on revised analyses from medical and rescue professionals, rather than any fresh leads."

Mission Challenges

On the end of last week, officials confirmed that the recent operation had not found any traces of the boy.
